Summer is NOT Over Yet!

Hi, Friends -

Summer is NOT over yet! We are kicking off our LATE Summer session of classes the week of August 15, 2016. We have a wait list for a number of the classes and hope to accommodate those people in the upcoming October session.

On August 20, 2016, I will be one of the judges for the costume contest for the ABSOLUTELY WATERFORD - POOCH PARADE and CARNIVAL. This will be held downtown Waterford. The Pooch Parade starts at 9 a.m. and the event goes until 1 p.m. This is the "Strut Your Mutt" contest for fun prizes. There will be no cost to walk in the Pooch Parade or to enter the "Strut Your Mutt" competition.

Check-in and line-up for the parade will begin at 8 a.m. at the Municiple Parking Lot on 2nd Street, one block north of Main Street. You can still sign-up the day of the event. Although the registration form has a fee noted, the updated information is that there will be no entry fee. Click here to print out the registration form.

The costume contest will offer monetary prizes from $25 to $100 across four categories: Best Dog/Owner Look-Alike; Best Dog Outfit; Friendliest Dog and Overall Favorite - Judge's Choice. Winners will also receive a flower neck wreath from Flowers by Nancy and a free photo by KK Photography.

There will be a number of vendors there also, that may have some appealing items you will want to take home for your canine companion.

I hope you and your canine companions have been enjoying this warm weather. Keep the summer fun going and hope to see you at the Pooch Parade.

Until next time, stay cool, stay pawsative and remember to always train happy!
