Toni - Client Testimonial

We went to Kathy after adopting a 7 month old German shepherd, Toni who was on her way to a rescue shelter. Toni lacked basic obedience and was full of rambunctious puppy energy. The first day of class, she dragged me into Kathy's building, as she normally did on walks. In a short amount of time, Kathy had Toni walking by my side without pulling. One of the great things about Kathy is that she was able to see the best in Toni, even when Toni wasn't one of he best students.

Toni is dog reactive, so being in class with other dogs was difficult; many times Toni would just bark and be obnoxious. Kathy was very willing to work with us, keep us and the other students comfortable and allow Toni to be part of the class; even if it had to be from a distance. I don't think other trainers would have had the patience that Kathy had with her. She truly has a gift to see the best in every dog.

Although we learned a lot in classes with Kathy and Toni made tremendous progress in class, Toni continued to give us challenges during her first year with us. Many times I needed to call or email Kathy for advice and Kathy has always been willing to help us in any way possible - even if we weren't currently a student in class.

We even went through a time when we thought we would re-home Toni as she required so much time and training. Kathy was there for us offering us other alternatives and contacts. We have decided to keep Toni, as she has made a lot of progress over the last year and has learned to settle down some. If it had not been for Kathy's continued support, I don't know what would have happened to Toni. Kathy really helped us understand her issues and gave us the tools we needed to deal with them.

I would highly recommend Kathy to anyone looking for dog training, as she has always been a pleasure to work with.
